The most common problem we see with iMacs is damaged cracked screens, particularly on the 27″ models. These are almost always due to what in the trade we call ‘abuse’ or ‘insult’. Usually the iMac has either been dropped or has had something dropped on them. The second most common reason for broken screens is were the user has attempted to open the iMac to upgrade the hard disk. We STRONGLY advise all iMac customers not to attempt to open it themselves – don’t risk your screen – let a professional do it!
Whatever the cause there is only one solution – replace the broken screen with a new or refurbished one. Contact us for a quote if you want your iMac screen replaced.
